Hi all! My name is Camryn Cothrell, owner and operator of CothrellPhotography and photojournalist serving the midwestern United States. I flourish in the niches of business content, events, and portrait photography and videography.

I am originally from St.Andrew, a beautiful parish located on the southern coast of Jamaica. Growing up in Jamaica has granted me one of the very rare privileges of having an eye for total and complete perfection and a unwavering desire to portray and mimic the beautiful things in this life. From the awe-inspiring Blue Mountains, to the busy and crowded street markets, living in Jamaica was a way for me to embrace both the highs and the lows, and to live life with that same principal, furthermore implementing it into the very things that I cherish, such as the arts and film.

After studying digital art and algorithmic art throughout my time being a dual student for Kirkwood Community College, I’ve had the great chance to not only turn my long burning passion into a science, but also turning it into a form of story telling, furthermore, making it a career of mine, from working alongside charitable non-profit organizations all throughout the Midwest and East coast, to building strong, priceless relationships with clients.

With many years of rigorous exposure to art forms. I’ve mastered my skill in photo development, and utilizing my creative acuity to capture nuanced and often fleeting moments to cherish. Whether I’m chasing sunrise light, or angling for the perfect shot. I’m here to showcase your authentic moments.
